Torso at Gagosian Gallery

Torso is an augmented reality figurative sculpture that was placed at The Gagosian Gallery in New York City using mixed reality technology. At the time of the dropping of this NFT work of art into the space, the gallery was exhibiting work by Donald Judd who is recognized more so by his three dimensional work. The paintings on view are described by Gagosian as “nonrepresentational and reject spatial illusionism” therefore I felt drawn to introduce a non invasive dynamic into this body of work of spatial illusion that utilizes three dimensional properties painted with nonrepresentational lines.
