The Science of the Soul | Flow Line Figure 07 15 26

This “Science of the Soul” insight arose while creating this Flow Line Figurative work through active meditation. The artwork and writing are two expressions of the same experience, one revealed through form and line, the other through insight and language:

The Science of the Soul 7/15/26

“The longing you cannot name may be the soul remembering its source.”

There is an ache within the human experience that cannot always be explained or located. We may attempt to satisfy it through achievement, possessions, relationships, recognition, or belief, yet something remains incomplete. Within the Love and Truth Practice, this longing is not understood as a flaw. It is the soul remembering the deeper source from which it came.

The soul naturally longs for reunion with the divine. This ancient longing can be heard in the sound of the Armenian duduk, whose breath-filled resonance seem to carry both separation and remembrance. The music gives form to something beyond language: the sorrow of feeling apart from life and the quiet knowledge that we still belong to it.

Love is the field where this reunion takes place. It is not a reward to be earned or a condition granted only to those who have proven themselves worthy. Love already exists beneath judgment, guilt, fear, and the divisions of the mind. It is the highest vibration of our being and the natural atmosphere of the soul.

The light of this source never disappears. Pain, grief, and our broken places do not prove that we have been abandoned by it. They can become openings through which a deeper awareness enters. The wound is not the end of the path; it may be the place where resistance softens and the hidden light becomes visible again.

The Love and Truth Practice offers a direct experiential path into this remembrance. Through active meditation, the body, heart, and mind are returned to an open, relaxed, and alert state of presence. Rather than escaping the ache or covering it with distraction, we learn to remain with it sincerely. As the body softens, the heart opens and the mind becomes quiet enough to receive what the soul has always known.

This is the field beyond judgment and separation, where love does not need to be deserved because love simply is. Here, the soul is not searching for something outside itself. It is recognizing the divine presence that has quietly remained within all along.

Your longing is not the problem. It is the compass. The light you seek has never left you; it waits only for you to stop being afraid of its expression. The journey home is not measured by distance, but by the resistance we are willing to release.
