Release is an audiovisual artwork that weaves together sound, movement, and immersive experience to explore the profound human act of letting go. It is both a representation and a transmission: an invitation for the viewer to move beyond psychological understanding into a direct sensory encounter with release itself. Like a mantra or mandala, the work engages sound and sight as gateways to deeper dimensions of awareness and transformation.
At its core, Release embodies liberation, physical, emotional, and mental. Through dance, the body becomes an instrument of surrender, entering a trance-like state where memory and thought dissolve into improvisational flow. Energy moves freely through body, heart, and mind without resistance or tension. In this state of trust, nurtured within the artist’s studio, the dancer embodies openness and flowering, a living metaphor for what is available to every human being.
The work also resonates on a cosmic scale. Release is the energy of creation itself, echoed in the orgasm, the big bang, the ecstatic transmission of life force. In the video, wild and frenetic drumming induces trance states where joy, beauty, and flow arise as natural consequences. This alignment of body, heart, and mind in presence is the essence of human possibility: unconditional love moving unimpeded through our being, guiding the phenomena we witness.
