Mural of New York City installed at Buena Park Metroplex 18

• Commissioned for The Buena Park Metroplex 18 Krikorian Theatre, Buena Park, CA.

• Medium: Specially developed process using archival inks on a spun back canvas.

• The theme for this mural reflects on the name given to the theatre “metroplex” which inspires a triptych mural about one of my favorite Metropolis’s and my home town, New York City. The hyper tragic event of 911 was still an open wound in my heart and many others and so it finds its reference in this work. There are many icons and symbols, some hidden, including a profile photograph of a particular person sitting in the back of the taxi cab. These details and many others are only viewable on the actual size work due to the grand scale of the piece.
