Artist Statement:

Mixed media: drawing, digital composition, sound, and motion

Lover With Flower investigates the intersection of material and immaterial expression through a synthesis of traditional and contemporary techniques. The work embodies a process of surrender, in which the artist relinquishes conscious control of the hand to allow spontaneous movement guided by intuition and the heart’s intelligence.

Conceptually, the piece explores duality and unity, the dynamic between the lover and the flower as metaphors for devotion and purity. The lover signifies the human vessel as a temporary bearer of spirit, while the flower, reminiscent of the white lily or lotus, symbolizes transcendence emerging from the depths of the earthly and the imperfect.

Through the integration of analog mark-making, digital technology, color, and sound, Lover With Flower forms a living dialogue between ancient artistic impulses and contemporary tools.
