Flow Lines 09 15 25 | Art Video — Artist Statement
Flow Lines is a creative exploration that merges the oldest forms of human expression with the contemporary language of moving image and sound. Before “art” was even a word, our ancestors reached into the ashes of fire, drew with coal upon stone, and gave form to their dreams, rituals, and visions of life. Their creations were not made for galleries or admiration, they were living bridges between spirit and matter, between the human and the divine.
We can never truly know what those first markings meant to them, yet we can feel that they arose from a sacred contract with existence itself, a recognition of harmony, cooperation, and belonging within the natural order. Over time, this understanding was distorted into the myth of competition, “the survival of the fittest.” But the creative spirit is not competitive. It is an allowing, an unfolding of abundance from within. Creation is not conquest, it is communion.
Flow Lines reclaims this truth. It is both a remembering and a return, a reaching back through time to touch the same impulse that moved our earliest ancestors to create. With the same hand that once traced forms on cave walls, I draw with graphite and watercolor, letting the pigments bleed and merge like spirit into flesh, human into animal, self into the whole. Each gesture is an offering to unity, an act of remembrance that we are not separate from what we observe.
Through the rhythmic dance of line, color, and sound, the work becomes a living meditation. The motion of graphite, the pulse of pigment, and the resonance of tone are all part of a single current, the flow that connects all things. This video is a portal, inviting the viewer into that current. It asks for surrender, not to chaos, but to grace.
Even within our concrete walls and digital architectures, we can reawaken to that primordial state of connection. Flow Lines calls us back to center, to the heart of our existence, where the material and the formless dissolve into one. In this space, balance returns, and freedom is remembered.
