Art Djembe

The Art Djembe drum was created to inaugurate the first drum circle at The Highland Dream Studio since the latest renovations which include the construction of a pyramidical shaped diffusion Light roof. This video captures the first 3 minutes of what transformed into a profound 4 hour night of ecstatic drumming and dancing!

Old friends and new came together for this intimate evening to experience free formed percussive drumming and dancing. By being present, listening and participating together, we created an extraordinary ambiance of sublime beauty that raised our hearts and spirits to the stars.

 

Behind the scenes making of:

This art Djembe was created using a Remo Apex Djembe drum as the base. Hi quality Golden Fluid acrylics were used to paint the artwork that was applied to the lightweight ABS drum shell.
