Abyss Node 12 12 25 | Awakening The Creative Self
Artist Statement — Abyss Node 12.12.25
Abyss Node 12.12.25 continues my ongoing exploration of “the merging”, a process through which I experience myself in a holistic, unified way. When artists are asked to define their work, the question often collapses into categories: Is it painting, music, photography, sculpture, words? Yet these labels rarely illuminate the essential truth of the work or the deeper purpose behind its creation.
For me, art is the act of allowing what moves within me to become manifest. It is the most honest process I know, a practice of bringing the formless into form. This is why I often describe myself as a “transcriber of energy into art form.” At its foundation, this is what I do: I listen inwardly, surrender deeply, and translate frequency (mind), vibration (heart), and energy (body) into material expression.
My work is inherently exploratory, an expression of the inner journey an individual undertakes when seeking to discover the Self. Tradition calls this a spiritual path: awakening, rising, liberating consciousness. In this way, each artwork becomes both map and marker, a record of the travels taken within. We often think of exploration as climbing mountains or navigating cities; my explorations are inward, yet the art that remains is as real and as vivid as any travel photograph, except here, the work is not a depiction of the journey, but the portal to it.
The merging of mediums is essential to this piece. I understand paint, pigments, form, sound, and motion as variations of one frequency, different languages of the same underlying energy. In Abyss Node 12.12.25, I bring these elements together: material surfaces meeting color, texture merging with three-dimensional forms, and all of it animated through the temporal dimension of sound. This is not a conceptual exercise or an intellectual design. It is the consequence of surrender, a relinquishing of control that allows the work to reveal itself.
Surrender, however, is difficult to describe. Many people can embrace art as an exploratory experience without having cultivated the internal practice required to create from this state. Yet just as one does not need to understand the engineering behind an iPhone to make a video call, one does not need to understand the mechanics of these internal dynamics to feel their effect. The artwork functions through the same principles that govern all vibration, geometry, material resonance, and energetic fields. Through these principles, it becomes a platform, an engineered space, for traversing non-physical dimensions.
The viewer ultimately decides how to engage with the work. It may serve as atmospheric presence, shaping mood and environment. Or, for those ready to step through, it may become a portal, an invitation to explore inner landscapes and subtle states of awareness. For those who desire it, I offer the accompanying practices of Love & Truth, the methods I myself use to navigate these dimensions. There is no single path, only an opening.
The essential question becomes: when?
When do we choose to explore the infinite from within? When do we lift the thin veil that keeps our lived experience muted and conditioned? The mystics speak of this journey as one of the heart, a movement toward truth, liberation, and authentic freedom.
This is the root of my work, the intention beneath the practice: to create living mandalas, artworks that are at once object, portal, principle, and path. Abyss Node 12.12.25 is one expression of that unified purpose.
