• Medium / Process: Archival pigment print on museum quality paper constructed from acrylic paint and graphite on photographic paper which is then transformed into a positive and further manipulated.
• About: This contemporary artwork was constructed from a photograph created for the series entitled “BodyWorks”. Now that a few somewhat large scale commissions have been completed, I am shifting formats and processes in order to keep the mind from overt boredom due to continued repetitive procedures. The excitement of returning with fresh eyes to a familiar process that I have been developing for some years with the hopes of making new visual discoveries. The process I am referring to garners its inspiration from traditional photographic darkroom techniques that I have adopted into a framework that leverages new technologies to integrate with painting and drawing processes.
