Epostle.net
Armenian Spirituality for an Electronic and Expanding Universe
The creative direction and web development of Epostle.net, art, beautiful photographs of sacred Armenia and 360° immersive virtual reality were designed and engineered for web 3.0 next generation connectivity. Epostle houses the life’s work of Father Vazken Movsesian and utilizes new technological advancements to connect the globe to Armenian spirituality.
Epostle is part of the expanding vision and mission of the Western Diocese and becomes the newest ministry of the Western Diocese, focusing on electronic transmission of the Gospel message for today’s world. The ministry works in concert with the current Diocesan Media Department, which boasts an extensive library of multimedia productions from the last two decades. Epostle.dot is the hub for new outreach, exploiting the potential of technology and will grow to house libraries of Armenian Christian literature, lesson plans and interactive submersive experiences.
Fr. Vazken has pioneered the use of electronic technologies for the dissemination of information about the Armenian Church and faith since the early 1980s. From electronic bulletin boards, to Armenian forums, to videos and podcast, his ministry has touched thousands throughout the world. To date, Epostle.net has served as the voice of the In His Shoes Ministry. With the initiative and encouragement of Dr. Eric Esrailian, Epostle.net is now broadening its scope. Now all of Fr. Vazken’s content from the last 40 years can be found in one place. With the use of the latest in technology, the Armenian Church experience is enhanced by offering daily prayers, meditations, and readings, which are already popular on many websites. However, with Epostle.net the limits are being pushed to bring engagement and interaction to and with the faithful.
“The Armenian Apostolic Church has been the heart and soul of the global Armenian nation for centuries. I pray that everyone around the world will have access to the incredible tradition, history, and teachings of the Armenian Church thanks to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.” – Eric Esrailian
