The Wood Lion

This lion was the result of a task given to learn how to use a ban saw. To create something using sheets of wood. This wooden Lion is constructed by forming the shape of the body and head from sheets of wood cut out to build the dimensional form. A spring connects the head to the body, giving a bobble effect and leather strips represent the lion’s mane and are also woven to create his tail. I was a freshman in college.
