The King’s Mistress

contemporary artwork

An homage to the original painting by an unknown artist created in 1594  named “Gabrielle d’Estrées et une de sea Soeurs” which translates to Gabrielle d’Estrées and one of her sisters. She was a mistress of King Henry IV of France and is holding his coronation ring while her sister sits nude beside her pinching her nipple.
